Working colaboratively with the Turbine and Generator OEM's, MB Century installed, tested and commissioned this new equipment on the four hydro generation units at Whakamaru Power Station.

Project outcome
This upgrade increased the station’s generation capacity and the flow rate through it. This additional flow capacity eliminated the bottleneck which the station historically had. This enabled Mercury to optimise generation across its Waikato hydro generation portfolio. MBC completed all four units on time and to budget.
